Brett Basnight
Brett is responsible for the day-to-day execution of strategy of Long Key. Brett has worked across a diverse range of Southeastern markets and led transactions in multiple asset classes. Brett’s financial background enables Long Key to navigate complex land use entitlements, while maintaining a core focus on value generation.
Brett is a graduate of the University of South Carolina Moore School of Business and has a Master’s in Real Estate Development from Clemson University.
Brett lives an active lifestyle and enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter.

Seth Peterson
Seth is responsible for deal origination, underwriting, due diligence, entitlement efforts, and the design programming of communities. Prior to joining Long Key, he was the Executive Director of Development at a Southeast-based real estate investment firm, with direct responsibility for sourcing and developing over +5,000 units with +$1.0 billion in total asset value
Seth earned his Bachelors from the University of South Carolina in 2007, followed by a Master of Real Estate Development (MRED) degree from Clemson University in 2014. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the National Multi-Housing Council (NMHC). Seth is also an active Board member on Clemson University’s ABRED Board.
In his spare time, Seth is active in the community and enjoys spending quality time with his wife and their two young children.
